New York Comic Con 2015: A Nerd’s Paradise.

I love all things horror, science fiction, comics and anime. I belong at NYCC! This was the second time I attended this annual comic book convention and by far it was the best. New York Comic Con offers any and everything from comic books to gamer action.

I was only able to snag a Thursday ticket. I left after last screening at 8pm, which means I spent 7 hours in utopia. Below are some cool pictures that highlight my highest point of 2015. One day is not enough!

My freshman year in high school I discovered the comic book store in Newark. I would go in there just to browse. I was shocked that The X-Files and Tales from the Crypt had comics, so I started buying!

Those initial purchases branched off into me building my comic book collection. It’s not huge, but it makes me remember my youth. The X-Files, Tales from the Crypt and The Crow (which I will dedicate an entire post) were some of my earlier titles. I also fell in love with Spawn too.

My early nerd life began with me being completely obsessed with The X-Files. My mom can tell you that I never missed an episode.

Horror happened years before when I would watch Tales from The Darkside and Monsters. I was never a kid who was afraid of monsters. I loved looking at them and this was a natural progression for me into my adulthood of fandom/nerdom/geekdom!

The great thing about New York Comic Con is that there is so much to see and do. Throughout the day panels are running. Also signing sessions from artist, writers and actors.

I’m a major Naruto fan and this area dedicated to my favorite Hidden Leaf Village ninja was awesome!

Seven hours later I am still beaming from the event. I paced myself and enjoyed every moment.
