Lord of the Rings Funko Pop Review

I was very lucky a few years ago to get a set of four Lord of the Rings Funko Pop series. Lord of the Rings is an amazing book series, but the movies were the entity that got me hooked.

Lord of the Rings is a beautifully crafted high fantasy novel by J.R.R. Tolkien. Middle Earth is such an engrossing world. The characters are meaty and complex. You become quickly submerged into the world after a few pages.

When The Fellowship of Ring was released in 2001, I was completely enamored at how amazing it was. During this time, I didn’t think about collecting a Lord of the Rings Funko Pop. Fast forward almost fifteen years later and I’m collecting the pops!

Gandalf the Grey, Saruman, Samwise Gamgee and Nazgul were included in the set. Let’s check out this amazing set below.

gandalf lotr
Gandalf the Grey

Look at the details on Gandalf’s face! Battered and still ready to fight. You can purchase Gandalf here: Amazon

saruman lotr
Saruman the White

There is a stark contrast between Saruman and Gandalf. Saruman studied and mastered the Dark arts. This pop has great detail on his clothes. You can purchase Saruman here: Amazon

samwise gamgee lotr
Samwise Gamgee

Furry footed Samwise is another greatly detailed pop. The sword detail and glow in the dark Earendil. Sean Astin played Samwise so thoughtfully in the films. You can purchase Samwise Gamgee here: Amazon

nazgul lotr
Nazgul The Back Riders The Nine

Now we finally reach the last pop, Nazgul! Chills, cloaked in black cloth with no visible face. The fingers and the tattered clothing are excellently detailed. You can purchase Nazgul here: Amazon

These are some of my favorite Pops because of the details and overall heft. The accessories, sword, staff and knife are not flimsy.

These Lord of the Rings Funko Pop series are note worthy in any collection.
