Star Wars Boba Fett Room Guard and Funko Pop Review

Before The Mandolorian on Disney Plus, I’ve enjoyed the other bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe, Boba Fett. Star Wars Boba Fett packs major punch. Now that Season 2 of The Mandalorian has ended we can now look forward to The Book of Boba Fett coming out at the tail end of 2021.

Boba Fett was definitely the silent, but deadly type. He blustered cool weapons and armor.

Do I need a door guard? No, but I definitely needed a half body figure of Boba Fett. The voice is really distinctive. The missile and signet are very detailed. His armor and helmet are beaten from many past battles.

The room guard detects movements and says a few popular phrases. Also when activated the gun moves up and down. I don’t use that function, it’s a display piece for my bookcase.

This Boba Fett Funko Pop is one of my favorites! The pop is very detailed. You can see The Mandalorian signet clear. The jetpack and the paint job are well done. The stance is definitely suited for the character.

This Star Wars Boba Fett is ready for a fight! Do you see his fist?!

We had such an amazing second season of The Mandalorian. I was so excited to see Boba Fett and Din team up. Now that we are getting a stand alone show with Boba and Fennec…2021 is looking up! Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen are superb actors and I am beyond ecstatic for The Book of Boba Fett.

Kou Yoneda’s NightS: Reply Review (BL Manga)

Twittering Birds Never Fly is the series that many know mangaka Kou Yoneda.

I didn’t read Twittering Birds Never Fly until many years later after I read NightS.

NightS is comprised of three short stories. Reply is my favorite.

Reply takes place in a car dealership and it explores a budding friendship between a salesman and a mechanic.

Seki is a mechanic and Takami is a salesman, let’s dig in!

It begins with Seki displaying his disdain for the sales team. Seki feels that the sales team lacks consideration.

Seki and Takami have a brief encounter and we get some background on Takami. Takami is enigmatic and Seki is intrigued. This is the foundation of their friendship.

Finding depth in bl manga can be difficult. Tropes can be fun but finding something substantive is always more pleasurable. Kou Yoneda creates characters with dimension and complexities.

Their friendship properly kicks off when Takami makes a request for roadside assistance and Seki answers the call. This is the moment where Seki sees another side of Takami. He’s compassionate and values his clients. Seki didn’t expect that and begins to lower is walls.

The twosome have dinner and Seki realizes something afterwards. He’s falling for Takami.

Takami is strange, but the people around him can see his changed behavior when he’s with Seki.

Seki is fully aware of his feelings and he decides it’s best for them to no longer spend time together. With Takami’s possible transfer looming ahead he wanted to make a clean break and confesses.

Seki purged all his feelings and Takami was left bewildered. Once the confession sets in Takami begins to recall their past moments together.

Takami is transferred, but he still thinks about Seki. His assistant gives him a nudge to try to reconnect with Seki. He fails horribly and their fracture seems permanent.

Throughout the process of Takami trying to mend his friendship with Seki, we can see how much he misses him. His assistant tells him, “He’s the only one you’re nice to.”

The light bulb was turned on and Takami went to see Seki.

Takami is looking for assurance and he gets a blushing Seki telling him they can’t go back to be being friends.

Takami wants more than just friendship and he kisses him and confesses his true feelings.

The ending is very satisfying because the buildup was meaty. There is a Reply to a Reply, taking place three months in their relationship. Things get a little steamy, but they are so cute!

Reply is a light and substantive BL short you will enjoy!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Skincare Line

The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Skin Clearing Skincare Line is a new favorite! I have adult acne and hormonal acne. The constant struggle of trying to find a cleanser that won’t dry my skin was exhausting.

Casual Thor Funko Pop Endgame Review

Thor really displayed a wide array of emotions during Endgame. Thor was depressed and drinking his feelings away. I never thought a Pop would come out of that, but here we are with a Casual Thor Funko Pop.

Multidimensional Thor was great to watch. Movie Thor really took to heart everything that happened. Chris Hemsworth showed the emotional turmoil the Thunder God was experiencing. This Casual Thor Funko Pop displays all those emotions.

I don’t know anything about Thor outside the movies, I know I need to start reading the comic books. I will get there! Here is some backstory about movieverse Thor: Thor the Truth behind the Hammer, I’m kidding just read it!

I was not looking to purchase a Thor Funko Pop at all. This pop was one of those purchases that just happened. Contrary to what people might believe, but roaming around a mall can be beneficial. I roamed and got this cool Casual Thor Funko Pop.

Let’s get into the Pop!

They really recreated his sad Thunder God vibe with the outfit. That’s not a six pack under that shirt and he is wearing sandals. Can you believe Thor in sandals?! The greatest addition are the shades. Those shades were not added to make him appear cool, they are to hide the dark circles from lack of sleep.

Is this a happy Pop? No, but it is interesting. This is what truly happened to Thor leading up to Endgame.

I enjoy reading about comic book characters after I’ve watched them. I want to deep dive into The Marvel Universe of comic books. One day!
