This trip to Georgia was the fresh air and experience I needed to have.
Me travel? Not much, just trapped in NY/NJ with a little bit of travel to Philadelphia. I decided a few years ago it’s time for me to branch out. I want to explore the states and beyond. I’ve traveled to Boston (which was a disaster because I slept in the hotel room my entire stay…it’s a long story). So one quick flight from EWR we arrived in Georgia for our adventure.
I never thought about traveling to Georgia. The Peach State was not a state on my must visit list. But, this trip to Georgia was exactly what I needed.
My favorite city that isn’t really a city is Washington DC. The sightseeing and eateries are great, I can go to DC every year!
We began our journey in New Jersey and made our way down South.
I definitely thought about all the tourist things we could do. Tourist spots can be worthwhile and great time fillers and we had a few on our itinerary.
As we traveled around Georgia, I admired the foliage. One thing I love seeing are trees. The surroundings were lush, and I felt time moving a little slower.
As random as this may seem, I always wanted to go to a Waffle House. I don’t know how they make waffles taste so good.
A trip to a place you’ve never been to can be overwhelming, but Georgia wasn’t.
The following day was very special and meaningful. We took a tour of The Ebenezer Baptist Church and Dr.Martin Luther King Jr’s home.
